frequency
   Specifically refers to the number of individuals or measurements in a subgroup of the total group under consideration. The term is often more loosely equated to proportion, that is, to define a fraction or percent. The number of times per unit time that the magnitude of an electromagnetic wave goes from maximum to minimum then back to maximum amplitude.
